The number one reason that small businesses fail is that they do not look at their business as a business model. While passion is key to getting new business, be careful what you wish for. However our analysis showed the profitability of that product actually cost them money, so increasing sales would have been a losing proposition. We found a middle ground by suggesting they package the sale with another product that would provide a profit as a bundle. We also showed them a new vertical market that was overlooked in the past and very profitable in the future.
